Exercise for a Flat Tummy
Most women tend to skip training their tummy muscles because they find it boring, too much hard work or just because they don't see results right away. In order to achieve maximum results you need to do a variety of exercises that train all your stomach muscles. If you over train one set of muscles you can make your tummy look even bigger.
If you want to achieve a flat tummy, there are two things you need to look out for. Firstly, you need to include some specific abdominal exercises to tighten and shape all muscles of your midsection. This includes the muscles that run down the sides of your abdominal area, and the deep-down core stability muscles that support your body and keep you upright.
Secondly, you need to include plenty of challenging cardio and general strength training in your weekly routine. No matter how toned your stomach muscles are, you still won't have a flat tummy if there is a layer of fat covering the muscles. The key to a flat tummy is total body fitness, not just spot training one area. The other important thing to remember is that no matter how many exercises you perform, you will never get a flat stomach if you don't reduce your fat intake as you might find it actually gets bigger. The first thing you must do to get a flat stomach is change your diet and decrease the amount of fat you consume otherwise all you will achieve is building muscle on top of fat!
If you work hard and vary your exercises with every session you will speed up your metabolism and burn more calories from around your middle, which will result in a flat tummy.
